Overview

Maison sits on a New Farm corner, overlooking both the city and the river — a Frank Developments and Graya build, with Joe Adsett Architects. Each home is a full floor. The facade is the thing: concrete cast with a timber-plank pattern, a deliberate nod to the weatherboard Queenslanders that surround it. Old vernacular, new material.

This one was for the architecture alone — the exterior, in stills. A facade like this is a study in restraint and repetition, and it doesn't forgive a lazy frame. So we worked the light and the geometry until the concrete stopped reading as concrete and started reading as craft.
